Kings of War Event: Bayou Battles XIX

Description

This is a unique, World Cup style event!  All 32 players will be split into 8 groups of 4 players, who will play 3 games in a round-robin style.  These games are strictly Win-Loss-Draw (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss).  Victory Points will be used to break ties when determining the order of finish in the Group.  Top 2 finishers in each group (16 total) will advance to a 3 game tournament in the Masters Bracket, using a standard 0-20 system.  The bottom 2 players in each group (16 total) will advance to a separate 3 game tournament in the Padawan Bracket.  There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers in each Bracket, so even if you start off on the wrong foot, there will still be prizes to strive for!  Awards for Painting and Sportsmanship also awarded.

The event is 1995 points, but players have the option to bring a sideboard of up to 495 points they can swap out each game (effectively the same 1500 points, with 495 point sideboard A or B chosen before each game).  This is totally optional, but provides a little more flexibility for each opponent or scenario.  Each player will also be able to select one Soccer Special Character to add to their army!  These are all Inspiring Individuals with a ranged attack they can use to bolster their forces.  See our website for all the details!
